what are word for by Darwin Bell

As more and more companies and individuals embrace Web 2.0 and the Social Media Explosion, it is increasingly important to remember the influence our words can have on others, making the skill of effective written communication a must.

How we are perceived in the online world is largely a function of the writing we publish. From the answers filled in on Facebook and LinkedIn profiles to the comments we leave on blogs and various other Social Networking outlets, our content and style will say a great deal about us.

The interesting thing to keep in mind here is that there is no right answer: some people prefer to communicate in a more formal style to establish a certain level of sophistication, while others take a more conversational tack in order create a sense of informal connection with the audience.

The thing to keep in mind is that whatever you choose for your business and for yourself as a business person should have a certain leverl of consistency. Think about this when you’re building your online identity – how do you want to be perceived? As the scholar or the peer, the teacher or the friend? It all depends on your overall marketing approach.

At BuzzBuilderz, we believe that a big part of establishing your online voice is choosing the words with which you communicate to more effectively brand you in the eyes of the consumer. After all, in a medium where your words are forever accessible to a worldwide audience, how you speak will dictate how you are perceived.
