I just got an email with the subject line “How to get Social Networking and SEO Savvy in 90 Minutes”.

The email was promoting, in a very old school, spammy kind of way, a webinar that promised that I would “..learn the ins and outs of social media and the strategies for making this new technology work for you”.

The webinar would help me ” understand the embarassing mistakes you don’t want to make with social media”. (like sending out high pressure pitches via unsolicited e-mails?) and allow me to “Discover what to do and what not to do on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter“. And all in 90 minutes. It sounded so efficient – sort of like the 7 minute Abs program Harland Williams is describing to Ben Stiller in the clip here.

I guess they have the perfect Social Media Training plan,. After all, no one can teach Social Media in 89 minutes- Can they?
